In summary, DXXK may simultaneously reduce the levels of three major modifiable lipid risk factors, LDL-C, HDL-C, and TG, and we revealed that the possible mechanism by which DXXK lowers LDL-C levels and ameliorates atherosclerosis involves its inhibitory role in the PCSK9/LDLR signaling pathway (Figure 7). Here, PCSK9 is linked to atherosclerosis.
