The EO from the leaves of Pinus roxburghii induced apoptosis along with inhibition of NF-κB and inhibited the expression of genes associated to cell survival (survivin, c-FLIP, Bcl-2, Bcl-xL, c-Myc, c-IAP2), proliferation (cyclin D1), and metastasis (MMP-9) in KBM-5 (chronic myeloid leukemia) cells [32]. Here, MMP9 is linked to chronic myelogenous leukemia, BCR-ABL1 positive.
