lncRNAs acting as a “sponge” to attract certain miRNAs exemplifies a form of these interactions.17, 34 In this type of “sponge” effect, lncRNAs can sequester their targeted miRNAs and inhibited their functions.35 The role of H19 as a miRNA sponge was previously reported in epithelial‐mesenchymal transitions in colorectal cancer.36 In the present study, we found that H19 was highly connected with the important component in miRNAs‐related RISCs, which highly implies the “sponge” function of H19 and that H19 is presumably located in cytoplasm in seminoma. Here, H19 is linked to colorectal cancer.
