Based on the overall staining intensity, Figure 1A shows that orexin-A immunostaining was weak in pancreatic cancer specimens (stage I and II), whereas a high expression level of orexin-A was observed in pancreatic cancer specimens (stages III and IV), indicating that the expression level of orexin-A might be associated with malignancy in the patients with pancreatic cancer. Here, HCRT is linked to familial pancreatic carcinoma.
