MTOR and pancreatic neoplasm: Additionally, quantitative analysis indicated that orexin-A treatment can activate theAkt/mTOR pathway, whereas SB408124 treatment can inhibit the activation of theAkt/mTOR pathway in PANC1 cells (Figure 5B), suggesting that theAkt/mTOR pathway may be involved in orexin-A-mediated cell proliferation through regulating apoptosis in pancreatic cancer cells.
