[91] revealed that energy inhibition by agents such as insulin, 2-deoxyglucose, 3-nitropropionic acid, and kainic acid in wild-type and Tg2576 transgenic mice strikingly elevates cerebral BACE1 levels concomitant with progressive AD pathology.
