In this study, we have shown that sFGL2 levels are significantly altered in HBV-related liver diseases compared to healthy controls and are highest among patients with acute hepatitis B. sFGL2 levels are increased according to the clinical progression of chronic HBV-related liver diseases and are correlated with several clinical parameters such as AST, albumin, platelet counts and HBV-DNA loads. The gene discussed is ALB; the disease is hepatitis B virus infection.
