In multivariate analysis, age (OR: 1.04, 95% CI: 1.02–1.05, P = 0.000003), male gender (HR: 2.02, 95% CI: 1.36–2.99, P = 0.0004), diabetic nephropathy (HR: 1.97, 95% CI: 1.30–2.93, P = 0.0008), and TT genotype of RXRA rs10776909 (HR: 3.15, 95% CI: 1.49–6.68, P = 0.003) were associated with myocardial infarction. This evidence concerns the gene RXRA and myocardial infarction.
