CCNY and neoplasm: Cyclin Y (CCNY) is one of the protein members that regulate cell cycle progression.12, 13 CCNY family proteins can enhance the activity of the Wnt/β‐catenin signalling pathway in mitosis.12, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18 Zeng et al reported that CCNY‐like 1 (Ccnyl1) and CCNY are essential for embryonic development and division of progenitor cells in mice.14 Among the members of the cyclin superfamily, CCNY is highly conserved among cyclins and is a substrate that is regulated by CDK14 and CDK16.12, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18 CCNY positively regulates the proliferation and division of tumour cells.
