Punfa et al. [149] compared the anticancer activity and cellular uptake of APgp-conjugated curcumin-loaded PLGA nanoparticles (Cur-NPs-APgp) and curcumin-loaded PLGA nanoparticles (Cur-NPs) in multidrug-resistant cervical cancer cells, KB-V1 (higher expression of Pgp) and KB-3-1 (lower expression of Pgp) using fluorescence microscope and flow cytometry, respectively. The gene discussed is PGP; the disease is cervical cancer.
