Omalizumab, a humanized recombinant monoclonal anti-IgE antibody, is approved in Europe, as an add-on therapy (75–600 mg subcutaneously every 2 or 4 weeks) for management of severe persistent allergic asthma in patients aged ≥6 years with symptoms inadequately controlled with high-dose ICS/LABA [17].
