Though not reaching a formal statistical significance, a tendency toward an association was observed between the CYP2R1 rs10741657 SNP and mean (95% CIs) vitamin D levels [means: 24.7 (95%CI = 23.1–26.4), 23.2 (95%CI = 22.5–23.9), 22.7 (95%CI = 22.1–23.3) ng/ml in AA, AG and GG individuals, respectively, p = 0.11 and p = 0.31 in the unadjusted and adjusted model (gender, age, BMI, HbA1c, T2D therapy and sampling season), respectively]. The gene discussed is CYP2R1; the disease is type 2 diabetes mellitus.
