FGFR2 and breast cancer: Treatment of ER+ breast cancer cell lines with the FGFR inhibitors AZD4547 and PD173074 sensitized the cells to the anti-estrogen tamoxifen, suggesting that targeting FGF10-FGFR2 signaling may offer a new approach to overcoming resistance to hormone-deprivation therapy in ER+ breast cancer (Campbell et al., 2018).
