CRP and neoplasm: However, elevated levels of CRP have been correlated with tumour size and staging of NSCLC, and a meta-analysis demonstrated that an elevated CRP level is associated with poorer survival of NSCLC patients and might be used as a prognostic biomarker.16 In the present study, we did not measure CRP in the same samples that were withdrawn to evaluate CDA status and we could not evaluate the potential correlation between these biomarkers.
