As a control, we have performed dasatinib treatment in P-cadherin low breast cancer cells (MCF-7/AZ.mock and BT20 siCtr) and, as expected, the impact of the dasatinib treatment is very modest, since the pathway is not as activated as in P-cadherin overexpressing cells (Additional file 1: Figure S2A-C) [22]. The gene discussed is CDH3; the disease is breast cancer.
