YAP and caveolins are involved in a number of pathophysiological processes, such as liver regeneration, muscular dystrophy, and ECM remodeling (Bertrand et al., 2014, Calvo et al., 2013, Fernández et al., 2006, Goetz et al., 2011, Grijalva et al., 2014, Hagiwara et al., 2000, Minetti et al., 1998). This evidence concerns the gene YAP1 and muscular dystrophy.
