FOXO1 and periodontitis: By acting as a sponge of miRNA‐182, osteogenesis impairment‐related long noncoding RNAs (IncRNAs) of human periodontal ligament stem cells (hPDLCs) from periodontitis patients (IncRNA‐POIR) competed with mRNA for binding to miR‐182 and thus antagonized the 3’UTR‐binding‐dependent inhibitory effects of miRNA‐182 on FOXO1.83 In this way, IncRNA‐POIR increases the osteogenic differentiation of hPDLCs from periodontitis patients.
