It was reported also that C-NPs can trigger neuronal survival in AD model, beta-amyloid [Aß (25–35)-treated SH-SY5Y cells, twice-subcloned cell line derived from the SK-N-SH neuroblastoma cells], through modulation of the extracellular signal-regulated kinases 1/2 and 5 (ERK1/2, ERK5) and the brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) signaling pathways [31]. This evidence concerns the gene BDNF and Alzheimer disease.
