IL17A and myeloid sarcoma: In vivo experimental data support that γδ T cells have a deleterious role in MS, i.e., in the relapsing-remitting EAE model, treating mice with TCRδ depleting antibodies immediately before the onset or during the chronic phase of the disease produces a reduction of the disease (81); and in knockout mice for IL-1RI the severity of the EAE is very decreased, demonstrating the participation of IL-1β in the induction of IL-17-producing T cells (82).
