ACE and hyperuricemia: Patients with hyperuricemia were more likely at the time of admission to be on angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors (35.6% vs 32.1%, P = .031), ARBs (22.4% vs 18.4%, P = .004), β-blockers (60.3% vs 56.3%, P = .021), calcium antagonists (42.8% vs 38.5%, P = .012), and diuretics (23.9% vs 13.3%, P < .001).
