Our data show that C19 decreased the activation of Akt1, Akt2 and AktPan and increased the activation of p53, which is important since the phosphoinositide 3-kinase (PI3K)-Akt signaling pathway plays a prominent role in tumorigenesis, progression of colorectal cancer and anti-apoptosis pathway [32]. The gene discussed is AKT2; the disease is colorectal cancer.
