Among its isoforms, Foxm1b (hereafter designated simply as FOXM1) has been studied most extensively and is considered to be able to activate the expression of multiple target genes critical for normal cell proliferation, survival, and self‐renewal as well as cancer initiation, progression, and drug resistance (Koo, Muir, & Lam, 2012; Wang et al., 2018). This evidence concerns the gene FOXM1 and cancer.
