Since aberrant activation and overexpression of the proinflammatory transcription factor, NF-κB plays a key role in regulating wide variety of cellular processes including cell differentiation, apoptosis, transformation and signal transduction pathways, specifically during progression and metastasis of several cancers including oral cancer, it is important to unpave the role of NF-κB proteins. Here, NFKB1 is linked to lip and oral cavity carcinoma.
