Although we did not observe that TRIM21 contributes to the growth of colorectal cancer cells (Supplementary Fig. 4h), or the protein level of TRIM21 is not significantly different between colorectal tumor samples and normal tissues (Fig. 6a, b), the activation of TRIM21 to degrade SHMT2 levels may still be a promising therapeutic strategy for colorectal tumors. This evidence concerns the gene TRIM21 and colorectal neoplasm.
