Therefore, after evaluating the circulating levels of CCL2 and CCL5, it was noted that the infection was able to significantly elevate the plasma levels of these chemokines and we observed that only Cv was capable to increase the level of the CCL2 while the Bz driven in monotherapy and the combination with Cv were able to reduce the circulating levels of the CCL2 (Fig. 4C) and the CCL5 (Fig. 4D), resembling the levels observed in the control group.
