FOXL1 is a novel tumor suppressor whose expression and co-expression with other regulators inhibit the aggressiveness of pancreatic cancer, kidney cancer, gallbladder cancer, and osteosarcoma [101,102,103,104] and could be initially implicated in the modulation of the Wnt/APC (Adenomatous Polyposis Coli)/β-catenin pathway [64]. This evidence concerns the gene APC and familial pancreatic carcinoma.
