After performing systematic analysis on the drug-gene-disease network using previously published pharmacological experiments and co-crystal structure data, we found that NSAIDs may exert anticancer effect by inhibiting their targets associated with cancer, such as prostaglandin G/H synthase 2 (PTGS2, also known as cyclooxygenase-2), aldo-keto reductase family 1 member C3 (AKR1C3), carbonic anhydrase 9 (CA9), carbonic anhydrase 12 (CA12) and cyclin-dependent kinase 2 (CDK2). Here, CA9 is linked to cancer.
