The triple-negative human breast cancer cell line MDA-MB-231, which is known as a highly aggressive and metastasizing one, displays a strong TF expression, as indicated in Figure 1A. The human melanoma cell line MV3, an accepted model cell for melanoma metastasis, has a clear capacity of TF expression, but this is evidently lower than in MDA-MB-231 cells (Figure 1B). The gene discussed is TF; the disease is breast cancer.
