Chemokine (C–C motif) ligand 3 (CCL3), also known as macrophage inflammatory protein (MIP)1-α, is a pro-inflammatory cytokine secreted by MM cells and promotes autocrine migration and adhesion via binding to different receptors (such as chemokine C–C motif receptor 1 (CCR1) and CCR5). This evidence concerns the gene CCL3 and Miyoshi myopathy.
