DAPK2 and lung cancer: PTTG1, which regulates TGFβ1/SMAD3 signaling pathway, has been described a potential immunotherapeutic target for development and metastasis of LUAD.22 As lung tumor suppressor genes, MFSD2A could inhibit cell cycle and matrix attachment of lung cancer cells,23 DAPK2 was found to induce oxidative stress in A549 cells by regulation of mitochondrial function,24 and overexpression of THSD1 could significantly reduce the colony‐forming ability of A549 cells.25 However, none of these six genes was studied on their DNA methylation level in LUAD.
