It was reported that Twist1 was involved in progression of human gastric cancer, promoting the proliferation of gastric cancer cells.49 Bmi1 knockdown resulted in inhibition of clonogenic potential in vitro and brain tumour formation in vivo,30 and inhibition of proliferation and invasion in human bladder cancer cells.26 In this study, we examined the role of IL‐17A in proliferation of GBM cells and the expressions of cell cycle‐related proteins, in vitro. This evidence concerns the gene BMI1 and urinary bladder carcinoma.
