Published reports include the polycomb group transcriptional repressor EZH2, which is elevated in invasive breast carcinoma compared with normal breast epithelia.21 VEGF correlates with uPA in the node-positive population, and patients with high VEGF levels display poor outcome, with an increased risk for the node-positive subset.22 Neither of these potential molecular indicators has been developed for routine diagnostic use. This evidence concerns the gene EZH2 and invasive breast carcinoma.
