Immunoblot analysis of HNSCC cells show that due to the exposure of curcumin, phosphorylation of NF-κB and signal transducer and activator for transcription 3 (STAT3) are reduced and the expressions of cyclin D1 and cyclin D2 are suppressed, contributing to the antiproliferative effect of curcumin [73]. The gene discussed is STAT3; the disease is head and neck squamous cell carcinoma.
