IL5 and asthma: Consistently, there are differences in the serum adhesion molecules and ILs between children with allergic rhinitis and asthma,13 and IL- 4 and IL-5 change in children with allergic rhinitis and asthma.14 In addition, the serum levels of IL-4, IL-5, IL-10, sICAM-1, sVCAM-1, and sE-selectin in the combined group were significantly higher than those in the asthma group (P<0.05), indicating that the inflammatory status of the former group was lower than that of the latter group.
