In this study we found that 3 ACE2 SNPs (rs1978124, rs2074192 and rs879922) were linked to moderate and high risk of EH or dyslipidemia (increased LDL-C and TC), which previously reported that the three loci were associated with cardiovascular death [32], suggesting that there is a common genetic basis for hypertension, dyslipidemia and cardiovascular events [33, 34]. The gene discussed is ACE2; the disease is metabolic syndrome.
