IL17A and Cognitive impairment: In addition, aged rats in the Sevo + NC group showed no significant difference in those indexes by comparison with in the Sevoflurane group (all P > 0.05), but anti-IL-17A reduced the escape latency and swimming distance, and increased platform crossing times and stay time in the platform quadrant in sevoflurane-anaesthetized rats (all P < 0.05), showing that anti-IL-17A could alleviate the cognitive impairment of aged rats after anesthesia with sevoflurane.
