TP53 and cancer: Relevant genes on chromosome 3p were: CTNNB1, CAND2, VHL, MIFT, WNT7A, PDCD6IP, TGFBR2, PRKCD, and MST1. Relevant genes on chromosome 9q were: LMX1B, GOLGA2, HSPA5, LCN2, RAD23B, TLR4, KLF4, and NOTCH1. The protein products of these genes are involved in cancer activation pathways like WNT, mTOR, HIF-1alpha, renal cell carcinoma, and p53 signaling, regulation of epithelial to mesenchymal transition, and neuroinflammation signaling (Additional file 1).
