Evidence from TCGA database and GTEx projects indicated that the expression level of PRKAA1 in gastric cancer tissue is higher, when compared to normal stomach tissue (TPM = 54.3 vs. 29.2, P < 0.01,), as well as in breast cancer (TPM = 23.1 vs. 29.8, P < 0.01) and esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (TPM = 49.6 vs. 14.9, P < 0.01) (Fig. 5a). Here, PRKAA1 is linked to breast carcinoma.
