Considering these previous studies, we can hypothesize that variations in the pre-miRNAs miR-300, miR-412, miR-656 or miR-4309 could lead to their downregulation, altering the Wnt pathway which ultimately would lead to the overexpression of MYC. All these results would support the hypothesis that this region is a hotspot for the development of osteosarcoma. Here, MYC is linked to osteosarcoma.
