Since AR-V7 is usually generated not from a structural rearrangement of the AR gene but rather from aberrant mRNA splicing, we next quantitated expression in 133 metastases from 34 CRPC patients that were collected as part of the University of Washington Medical Center Prostate Cancer Donor Rapid Autopsy Program (UW CRPC cohort) (Figure 2, Figure 6A, and Supplemental Table 6). This evidence concerns the gene AR and prostate cancer.
