Other pathways with significant gene enrichment, but without z-score ≥ 2.0, included role of hypercytokinemia and hyperchemokinemia in the pathogenesis of influenza (p = 3.2 × 10−13), activation of IRF cytosolic pattern recognition receptors (p = 2.5 × 10−12), and communication between innate and adaptive immune cells (p = 2.5 × 10−12) (Supplementary Tables S1, S2). The gene discussed is TRIM63; the disease is influenza.
