ALB and chronic kidney disease: Patients with advanced CKD were more likely to be old and have elevated levels of serum phosphate (P < 0.001), uric acid (P = 0.004), CRP (P < 0.001), and intact PTH (P < 0.001), whereas they were likely to have decreased levels of serum albumin (P < 0.001), calcium (P < 0.001), and hemoglobin (P < 0.001).
