In accordance with our previous results, which identified a higher expression of KPNA2 in patients with a higher WHO grade of malignancy in a large series of patients with cerebral astrocytomas our present in vitro analysis KPNA2 confirmed KPNA2 as marker of malignancy as it was predominantly detected in the most aggressive U87 MG GBM cell line. The gene discussed is KPNA2; the disease is cerebral astrocytoma.
