Factors significantly associated with osteopathy in the univariate logistic regression analysis were: female sex (OR 2.17 95% CI 1.14–4.12; P = 0.014), a higher age (OR 1.04 per increasing year; 95% CI 1.01–1.06; P = 0.0005), a higher BMI (OR 0.89 per unit; 95% CI 0.83–0.96; P = 0.003) and a higher PTH (OR 1.01 per unit; 95% CI 1–1.03; P = 0.02) and a diagnosis of diabetes (OR 0.54; 95% CI 0.30–0.97; P = 0.04). Here, PTH is linked to bone disorder.
