Strikingly, recent studies have indicated that the RAD51 protein is overexpressed in various types of tumors, including those in breast cancer, non-small cell lung cancer, cervical cancer, pancreatic cancer, ovarian cancers, melanoma, and glioblastoma (Richardson, 2005; Nagathihalli and Nagaraju, 2011). Here, RAD51 is linked to breast carcinoma.
