Ofthese 246 SNPs, three SNPs in the TXNRD2, CDKN2B-AS1, andTMCO1 loci were significantly associated with POAG in ourstudy (P < 0.05) (Table2, local replication), rs16984299 in TXNRD2 hadsimilar effect size as reported by Cook Bailey et al.(Bailey et al. 2016) and survived multiple testing(OR[T] 1.20; 95% CI 1.06–1.35;PBonferonni = 0.049) when the association wascorrected for the effective number of SNPs (N = 16) in thequeried 500 kb window. This evidence concerns the gene TXNRD2 and open-angle glaucoma.
