CD4 and cancer: Current CD4:CD8 ratios were not associated with increased risk of virus-associated cancers (p = 0.179); however, nadir CD4:CD8 ratio was associated with a three to fourfold increased risk of virus-associated cancers (adjusted HRs, 0.1 unit decrease and 95% CI 1.18 [1.06, 1.31]; p = 0.002).
