MET and breast carcinoma: The clinical relevance of c-Met inhibitors in breast cancer is under investigation with phase II clinical trials evaluating the potential of tivantinib in patients with recurrent or metastatic TNBC [41] and in a randomized phase II study assessing the safety and efficacy of onartuzumab and/or bevacizumab in combination with paclitaxel in patients with metastatic TNBC [42], where the aim is to identify patients who would benefit from c-Met targeted therapy.
