Lymph node metastasis (hazards ratio [HR], 2.151; 95% confidence interval [CI], 1.246–3.715; P = 0.006), TNM stage (HR, 1.875; 95% CI, 1.087–3.235; P = 0.024), and stromal FN content (HR, 2.163; 95% CI, 1.274–3.671; P = 0.004) showed a significant association with OS in univariate analyses, whereas lymph node metastasis (HR, 2.188; 95% CI, 1.281–3.736; P = 0.004) and stromal FN content (HR, 2.813; 95% CI, 1.648–4.804; P < 0.001) showed a significant association with PFS. Here, FN1 is linked to metastatic malignant neoplasm in the lymph nodes.
