Meta-analysis has demonstrated that higher expression of Tim-3 was significantly correlated with shorter OS (seven studies, HR = 1.89; 95% CI 1.38–2.57; P < 0.001) and more advanced tumor stage (three studies, III/IV vs. I/II, RR = 2.02; 95% CI 1.45–2.81; P < 0.001) in cancer patients [28].
