Studies have shown that IL-37 can regulate the production of various pro-inflammatory cytokines, such as IL-1β, IL-6, TNF-α, IL-17, interferon-γ (IFN-γ) and granulocyte–macrophage colony stimulating factor (GM-CSF), and some of the cytokines have been reported to contributed to the multisystem inflammation of sJIA [18, 26]. This evidence concerns the gene TNF and systemic-onset juvenile idiopathic arthritis.
